Bridging the gap between traditional midwifery and birthing healthcare
The Sacred Birth Project was born out of Elydé Arroyo’s years of dedicated experience in supporting Black and Brown birthing families.
Through this project, we aim to continue supporting families with no-cost birth support from our local birthworkers and midwives in Southern California.
How it works.
Submit your application using the button below. It will take you directly to our Application Form.
Receive an invitation to meet with our Project Manager, Jeanet Perez.
During your first meeting, they will help you identify what support looks like for you and your family. Some examples of what support can look like are:
Prenatal support such as the creating of a birth plan and intention, walks, body balancing and belly wrap, yoga and emotional support/coaching
Postnatal support such as womb massage, bajor, bone holding, belly binding and cerrada ceremonies.
Abortion and loss support
Assistance in finding birthing resources, donations, etc.
